We’re Mike and Jennifer Wendland. For more than 15 years, we’ve been exploring North America by RV — traveling over 250,000 miles and learning, sometimes the hard way, what makes a great RV trip.
That real-road experience is built into every guide, tool, and resource we share with you.
Our story
Journalism meets life on the road
Mike Wendland
Mike is an Emmy Award-winning journalist with more than 30 years in professional media, including big-city newspapers, television stations, and the NBC Newschannel network.
That background shapes everything we create: sourced, accurate, and honest information. No fluff. No filler.
Jennifer Wendland
Jennifer is a former TV producer, co-host of our RV Lifestyle content, and co-author of our travel guides.
She brings a practical, real-world perspective to every destination — what’s worth the drive, where to stay, and what to skip.
We travel in a fifth wheel, towed by our Ford F-350 — “the Beast.” We’ve explored dozens of states, attended RV shows, and spoken at rallies and events. When we recommend a campground or describe a route, it comes from experience.

Resources we wanted for our own travels
When we started RVing, reliable planning information was hard to find. Too much was generic or scattered across different websites. So we started creating the resources we needed ourselves.
Over time, those resources grew into a library of travel guides, planning apps, checklists, and more — shaped by our own travels and the questions our RV community asks us.
Our goal is simple: turn journalism-grade research and real-road experience into practical resources you can use.
